A standard operating procedure (SOP) designed to be handed directly to a Virtual Assistant. It provides a step-by-step process for scraping public data and verifying its accuracy for lead generation or market research.

I. The Objective

Your primary task is to build a clean, accurate list of potential leads based on specific criteria. This is not a task about speed. It is a task about precision. A single bad entry is worse than ten missing entries. Your work is the foundation of our outreach campaigns. Its accuracy is critical.

II. The Tool Stack

III. The Step-by-Step Process

  1. Setup Your Workspace: Open two browser windows side-by-side. In the left window, open the target Data Source website. In the right window, open the target Google Sheet. This setup prevents constant tab switching and reduces errors.
  2. Identify and Extract Data: Go to the Data Source. Locate the required information for one lead (e.g., First Name, Last Name, Company Name, Job Title, Email Address). Manually copy and paste each piece of information into the corresponding column in the Google Sheet. Do not use automated scraping software unless specifically instructed. Manual copy-paste is required for accuracy.
  3. Verify Every Email Address: Before finalizing the entry, copy the extracted email address. Open a new tab and navigate to a free email verification tool. Paste the email and run the check. The tool must confirm the email is "Deliverable" or "Valid". If it is "Risky", "Unknown", or "Undeliverable", you must discard the entire lead. Do not add unverified or risky emails to the sheet.
  4. Final Quality Check: After pasting and verifying all data for a single lead, perform a quick visual scan of the row you just created in the Google Sheet. Check for obvious spelling errors or formatting mistakes (e.g., pasting a first name into the last name column). Correct any errors immediately.
  5. Repeat and Report: Once a lead is fully entered and verified, move to the next one. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for every lead. Remember: a short, accurate list is far more valuable than a long, messy one.

IV. Quality Control Mandate

Your work will be audited against one single metric: accuracy. Speed is not a factor in our evaluation. A list with 50 perfect leads is infinitely more valuable than a list with 500 flawed leads. An entry is considered a "failure" if it contains any of the following issues.
